Really busy today so I'm sorry if this is a bit rushed, looking unlikely I'll get a chance to trade the tennis or cricket either.
I've gone for Bankrobber in the first at 6-00, ran a cracker here on his last run over the same trip finishing second behind Emperor Claudius. Bankrobber was a bit free early on and Emperor Claudius is a horse I really like because hes tough and looks as if he'll always win a two horse battle or come back if headed, and he should have won at Royal Ascot. The third that day has also won impressively since so the form is rock solid. I'd be really disappointed if the second favourite Reggae Dancer was good enough to beat him, I dont want to say hes no chance because its a weak enough race but hes had handier races than this in Navan and in Limerick, couldnt win either of them and didnt look up for going past in Limerick, he wasnt even the stable first string that day either. I think this trip will suit him best though but even still Bankrobber should be far better, and looking at the others it would be a surprise if any of them popped up but because of the lack of form its hard to guess which one, or indeed how good any of them actually are. Prendergast is in good form so the biggest danger might be his one, but if Reggae Dancer wasnt from Ballydoyle, Bankrobber would be odds on here and I rate him a really good bet at 6/5 on Betfair, his run the last day puts him miles ahead of this field.
Of the other races, really looking forward to seeing Heart Shaped at 7-30. Really like her but its a small worry that she hasnt won for a good while, she should win this race handy though if she runs her best. Would love to see her win but will hold off backing her, she wont get a better chance to win a Group 3 than tonight but I'd rather see her winning well before I start backing her again, especially given the fact shes likely to go off under 2/1.
Bankrobber 6-00 Fairyhouse, 3pts win at 6/5 on Betfair.

ReplyDeleteKicking myself, had already backed the O'brien horse small this morning, then i look at this and the man in the know with ballydoyle goes against it! I see why now, and what an EVS shot it was, i'll make sure in future my bets in ireland are done after your expert analysis.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work, and congrats on your exams results!
Cheers!
